I suppose you can guess what this means.
Yesterday a 6 hour drive turned into a 9 hour drive when Mercurio suddenly went into “limp mode” and we weren’t sure if we’d make it to our next gig
But today we found a rare species: an actual mechanic who diagnosed the problem (failed sensor) and replaced it, *while we waited*. Ladies and gentlemen let me present to you a dying breed: the real mechanic. No “service advisors,” no ASE certifications, no name tag on his fancy clean shop shirt, no $5000 toolbox with surround sound.
Just a guy that knows how to fix cars. He had us up and running in a half hour for under $100.

the digs from last night’s show turned out to be pretty sweet: ravioli and caprese on the roof for dinner, then downstairs to the concert. The view from the room this morning is pretty too – we’re in the apartment immediately overlooking the scene of last night’s show. #spoiled

time passes
June was really hot and my little herb garden was almost dead by the time we got here, but I’ve been nursing these little guys back to health and they’re making a good recovery.

tonight was my first time to visit the beautiful, but austere chiesa di San Cristoforo in #Lucca where we viewed a provocative art exhibit of seemingly tribal pieces of furniture fashioned from weapons
