Still my favorite all-time #guitarist, I grew up listening to #WesMontgomery and never stopped. If you don’t know who Wes is, check out “Boss Guitar” and the live album “Full House” for a glimpse into the past. Wes died young of a heart attack at 45 two weeks before I was born, leaving behind an amazing repertoire of innovation, tastefulness, and class. He is cited by almost every guitar legend as being a key influence.
My Aunt Margie gave me all his records when I was a teenager. It was part of my indoctrination into #jazz. I still think Wes is the coolest and classiest cat to ever play the six string.
